电影讲述了留学生在国外真实的生活情感经历，结合了现在最受关注的社会焦点（梦想与现实的冲突，逆境中的成长，富二代，第三者，有钱人与穷人生活之间的强烈对比，缺少浪漫的感情到底能不能承受来自奢侈的诱惑）。从一群中国人的角度看澳洲，从一群留学生的角度看社会，在困境中是团结互助共同成长还是自私自利接受失败。
