Celebrating the Chinese New Year - CHINESE LIBERALS ASSOCIATION

Happy New Year!!

Did you know Monday 26/1/09, not only is the Australia Day, it’s the Chinese New Year day (this year) as well.

There’re a number of festivals celebrating Chinese New Year in different suburbs. The biggest of all is the one in Chinatown, on Russell Street and Exhibition Street between Bourke and Lonsdale Streets (Map attached). City of Melbourne estimated up to 200,000 people attended in previous years.

The Chinese Liberals Association (CLA) committee feels that it’d be a great opportunity to promote the Liberal Party to the general public and therefore will host a stall displaying the Liberal and our Leaders’ corflutes and handing out thousands of Liberal balloons. Our stall is No. 11.

We need everyone’s HELP!!

Please reply to Reuben Humphries who is in charge of this event the time that you can come. Roster attached.

Bring your friends as well. I sincerely hope that you will support this initiative of “Making the Connection” with many voters out there.

regards
